I’ve Lost My Mind
I wonder if you’d help me please,
I lost my mind today …
I’ve searched and searched to no avail,
It’s simply gone astray.
I’m sure I had it when I woke,
But then it disappeared …
I’ve looked in all the nooks and crannies,
Truly persevered.
However I am at a loss,
So could you help me out?
I cannot find that silly thing,
It’s left without a doubt!
I’ll place an ad tomorrow
In the local classifieds,
I’ll even add a small reward,
If anyone complies.
Oh yes, I tried to trace my steps,
I backed up all the way,
But I can’t place my finger on
Just when it ran away.
It answers to my name, and yes,
I’ve yelled for it in fact,
I shouted till my voice was hoarse,
But it’s not coming back.
So if you find it, let me know,
I’m feeling so unwise …
